MONTE MORELLO

Monte Morello is a large mountain that overlooks Florence from North and the Mugello valley from South and it's considered a real mountain biker's paradise. The scenic itinerary that we'll follow is entirely inside the protected area of a Natural Park. A hiking version of this bike tour is available upon request.

MONTALCINO

Mountain bike ride to the castle of Poggio alle Mura : after a short loop inside the medieval hilltown of Montalcino (famous for its "Brunello" wine) we'll be riding a scenic ridge through the woods before entering the sea of vineyards where the Brunello wine is produced. Biking across the vineyards we'll eventually reach the ancient castle of Poggio alle Mura, now famous with the name of Banfi castle, which was erected, in its current form, in 1438 on a hill near the confluence of the rivers Orcia and Ombrone

BISENZIO VALLEY

Biking through the protected area of the Natural Reserve Acquerino - Cantagallo we'll be cycling across a luxuriant forest towards the sources of the river that gives its name to this beautiful valley, the Bisenzio. Then we'll ride a long section of the western ridge of the valley before descending back to the river. A hiking version of this bike tour is available upon request.
